Tearles Electrical

We were recently approached by Paul Tearle to design two websites for his businesses, Tearles Electrical and Geo Container Solutions. Paul already had an established base of commercial clients that he worked for but still felt that it was critical to have a professional-looking "front of house" website that he could refer new clients to, or to allow existing clients quick access to his contact details. Personify suggested that a simple single-page website would meet his requirements at this point in time, and this can always be expanded upon relatively easily in the future should the need arise. We have constructed similar websites for other trades including Cape to Cape Electrical and Waterman Plumbing, and in a regional area, single page sites can perform relatively well in the search engine rankings vs larger, multiple page sites.  

We always ask our clients to consider what their competitors might be doing at this point in time, and in the near future, when considering the size and depth of their website project requirements. There is no magic formula to rank well in search engine results. There are certainly critical considerations that need to be met, however you need to ensure that you are doing more than your competition if you wish to outrank them.

We speak to a lot of tradespersons who are currently satisfied with their level of work demand and don't see the need for a professionally-designed website. We ask these clients to consider what they would do if they did need to suddenly increase their work demand, or what if there was an increase in local trades due to a mining downturn etc. Along with your manner, etiquette and professional appearance, your website can help set the tone for you before you arrive at your client's front door. It can also provide valuable information in the form of frequently asked questions, examples of your past work etc. There are ways to manage demand at various times, and this is most effectively handled through Search Engine Marketing (eg Google Ads), where you can toggle your advertising campaigns on/off as required.   Personify can help you to establish a professional website presence that can be grown in the future should the need arise.
